Someone wrote that there is no morality in evolution -- evolution is about what works.  Assuming good faith in the practice of law, the morality may lay in the construction and application of the "ought" ... but the impact and direction of evolution can be seen in both the resulting best-of-breed ... and in the accompanying roadkill.
In this forum, we are focused on exploring the evolution of best EDD practices relating to issues like spoliation and sanctions.  This is not so much about schadenfreude as it is about identifying and executing strategies to ensure that you end up on the best-of-breed end of the spectrum as opposed to that other thing.
