EDDix LLC is a newco that does research and publishing exclusively in the electronic document discovery space ("EDD" ... note that we refuse to use the shortened "ED" acronym because we were unable to co-opt Bob Dole as a spokesperson and we couldn't thread a football through a tire-swing even with pharmaceutical assistance).
We have identified seven StakeHolder groups in the space -- Suppliers, Law Firms, Global 1000 Corp, Enforcement, Judiciary, Regulatory, Legislative -- and we have targeted research projects to tease out a view of the EDD landscape view through the lens of each group ... need we add 360 degree view, identification of interest intersection, conflict, longitudinal?
Some things we think make us different (if not unique) ...
Structure ... our suppliers (data) are our customers (research reports). Using a Members-only website as a base of operations, we are creating a "community of conflicting interests," in which the interests of the various StakeHolder groups converge about a core of reliable G2 on the marketplace which (hopefully) spins out into meaningful dialog -- both intra- and inter-group.
Membership ... is free to any decision-maker from an organization in a Stakeholder group that agrees to participate in our research projects. If not, then not ... and there is no paid Membership tier so then you can't ... but you can still purchase research project reports from us. Members are automatically entitled to a 45% discount which we think approximates an equitable recognition of a phantom equity share in the asset base they help to create. (NOTE: we've been known to make exceptions for people we like or need.)
Transparency ... we operate our research projects and our company in a fish bowl. Members have the opportunity to help shape the research we execute and are able to follow progress at a sometimes amusing and sometimes ugly level of detail.
Independence ... we don't do consulting ... we don't take advertising and promotion money ... we are free to call them as we see them ... hostage only to the memes we inhabit through adoption or bricolage ....
Among the features of our website are news pages (requires registration) with links to relevant news stories, content, blawgers, etc. We will shortly open up RSS feeds -- a relatively painless way to keep up to date with us.
